David Gooding (1947-2009)

I am sorry to announce that David Gooding, Emeritus Professor of History and Philosophy of Science and Director of the Science Studies Centre at Bath University, died on Sunday, December 13, after a long illness. Best known for his studies of Michael Faraday and for his many contributions to the understanding of experimentation, visualization, and scientific theory, Gooding's work extended across the entire range of science studies.
